Wing characteristics

Square posterior apical angle of anterior cubital cell (cua)

In all Platystomatidae, the terminal crossvein of the cua cell is truncate (rounded or squared), but never with a posterior sharp-angled extension, that is present in some Tephritidae and Ulidiidae.
